Frequently asked questions
- Why is this all-day only, unlike the other two tools?
- A birthday or anniversary doesn't have a time of day, so making it all-day avoids time zone conversion entirely — it's the one recurring-event shape this tool can get exactly right every year, with no daylight-saving edge cases.
- What happens with a February 29 birthday?
- Calendar apps don't all agree on what "yearly on Feb 29" means in a non-leap year — some show it only every 4 years, others move it to Feb 28 or Mar 1. That inconsistency comes from each calendar app's own recurrence handling, not from this file, so double-check how your app displays it in a non-leap year.
- Does this send me a reminder notification?
- No — it creates the recurring calendar entry itself. Whether (and when) your calendar app pops up a notification for it depends on your app's own default settings for all-day events.
